Totalpost Services Plc helps school save 36% on postage.
Many schools still send out a lot of mail through the postal system. This is the only way that schools can confidently ensure that all parents receive important information and messages.
For example, we recently worked with a specialist school in Carlisle,Cumbria who were simply buying stamps in bulk from Royal Mail in order to send out their postage. This method was proving costly as they estimated that they were sending out approximately 100 first class letters a week.
Totalpost went in and provided a full mail audit in order to assess which options would suit the school best and save them money. The school were then offered several different plans, including the opportunity to trial a refurbished machine to see how it suited their needs before making a purchase or entering into a longer term contract.
Unlike many providers Totalpost includes details of all running costs up front so that new franking machine users can make a full assessment of the benefits. Taking everything into account, the school will save a minimum of £672 a year if they send out their mail first class or £1,218 a year through a change to sending second class which was the schools favoured option.
Totalpost is working with several schools up and down the country, some are using existing budget to purchase new equipment and others are planning the use of their new financial year budgets. Either way many schools are coming to realise that they can get more out of their administration budget by using franked rather than stamped mail.
